The Challenge

Markey's provides creative, technical, and management support for corporate theater, live events, and audio/visual presentations. Originally an equipment rental company, the firm evolved over the years, but its original website didn't fully capture the breadth and depth of the company's services or address the impressive scope of Markey's state-by-state, coast-to-coast operations.

Enter Cirrus ABS. We were engaged to develop a new website for Markey's - one whose launch would correlate with the firm's relocation to new headquarters, reinvigorate the Markey's brand, and drive new business opportunities.

The Cirrus Solution

Our consultants worked with Markey's to showcase its brand with particular visual flair. After all, this client is engaged in a very visual-oriented industry. We wanted to create a site design that complemented and brought out the full impact of Markey's work.

What we came up with is a crisp, clean, dramatic look and a homepage flash element that highlights the "Wow!" factor of some major events Markey's has facilitated.

We also implemented a variety of Cirrus eBusiness Suite tools especially appropriate to Markey's needs. These include, first and foremost, a photo gallery with a light box that makes it easy for Markey's to keep the gallery current. The client has since built a process around every event it produces, taking photos, using our tools to upload them quickly on the site, and building a presentation that effectively shows off Markey's expertise.

Our eBusiness Suite tools also enable the client to capture location-specific sales leads that correlate with its various offices around the country. Then, there's the eBusiness Suite Client Portal. It helps Markey's better interface with its clients, share files of information, communicate news in a more timely manner, generate sales leads online, and provide its direct-sales staff with much more responsive support.

The site now accurately conveys Markey's capabilities. And it does an excellent job of supporting the company's sales efforts, driving new leads particularly through an enhanced search-engine visibility.

The Result

From the first day the new site launched, Markey's was receiving geographic-specific leads from it - something they hadn't experienced with the old site. And the company is now ranking at the top of Google for search terms that are important in Markey's industry. Thus, the site is driving a tremendous number of new business opportunities. It's become an integral, indispensable part of Markey's business strategy, helping push the company forward to new and greater things.
