Fort Wayne Web developer Cirrus ABS is pleased to announce that its Director of Vertical Programs, Derek Pillie, presented a session on strategic content marketing at the Fort Wayne Social Media Summit on August 14. The event, hosted by Greater Fort Wayne, Inc., a metro chamber alliance, consisted of several sessions with two different tracks covering everything from the legal responsibilities of content marketers to using social media effectively, along with a keynote address by Cirrus ABS colleague Kevin Mullett. A closing address on the subject of LinkedIn and networking activities are also on the agenda.
Greater Fort Wayne, Inc., through one of its founding organizations, the Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce, has a long track record of putting on quality programs to better inform and educate their member businesses about the latest marketing trends. Pillie, a notorious early-adopter and long time online media buff, is very active in content marketing, both for the Cirrus ABS blog as well as serving as managing editor of Indiana political blog Hoosier Access. Having worked in the government and political marketing spheres for many years before joining Cirrus ABS, he is well-versed in the effectiveness online marketing from many different perspectives.
