Siskiyou County Economic Development Council (SCEDC) came to Fort Wayne Web design and development firm Cirrus ABS looking to develop a Web presence that would successfully promote its northern California community to an international audience. In addition, the SCEDC wanted to be recognized for having a top website in the field of economic development.
After evaluating a dozen prospective Web developers across the country, the SCEDC chose Cirrus ABS to spearhead its launch into the webified world. Cirrus was chosen because of its wide range of capabilities, its award-winning economic development tools, and history of online marketing success.
Shortly after the launch of siskiyoucounty.org, the SCEDC was acknowledged as the best general-purpose website for a city populated by 50,000 people or less. This reward came from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), which is currently the world’s largest membership organization that serves the economic development profession.
Cirrus ABS created a visually striking design that worked with the Cirrus eBusiness Suite toolset to enable the SCEDC to easily manage its online strategy with easy-to-use Web content management tools. In addition, Cirrus also implemented a wide range of powerful business applications, as well as search engine optimization tools.
This combination of professional design and business functionality not only produced an award-winning website, but also gave the SCEDC a result-producing business tool.
