ABS Director of Social Media and Visibility Kevin Mullett (@kmullett) has been selected once again
to be an SMX featured speaker. He’ll actually participate in two second-day
sessions of the March 3 – 5 SMX West 2015 event in San Jose, California. His
first March 4 session, “Content Marketing & Promotion to Drive Quality Links” (#smx
#23A), which is part of the event’s SEO Track, will see him take the stage with
two other featured speakers. Immediately following that, he’ll be a panelist in
the “Let’s Talk Local Search: Super Therapy Session for Advanced Local
Marketers” (#smx #24D), which is part of the Mobile SEO & Local Track.
In
the first session, Mullett will talk about “Creating Content That Earns Shares,
Backlinks & Citations.”
“My
overarching message here is twofold,” Mullett says. “First, I want to show that
making content ‘useful’ to your audience isn’t some SEO trick, nor is trying to
be useful part of a faddish trend that will soon have no value. Second, I want
to define what useful content is. In essence, it’s content that answers
people’s questions and solves their problems – at the same time it evokes their
emotion and entertains them.”
This
session’s other two speakers are David Christopher (@davidmchris), Senior Inbound
Marketing Manager for BigWing Interactive, and Purna Virji (@purnavirji), Director of
Communications for Petplan Pet Insurance.
The
second session – the panel discussion – is designed to address all
aspects of local search. Mullett plans to touch on multi-location situations
and local relevance versus domain authority. In doing so, he hopes to help
businesses ensure that they’re getting visibility in all local SERPs for
primary and secondary markets from the widest array of terms that bring in leads.
In
addition to Mullett’s speaking appearances, Cirrus ABS will, for the first
time, will be exhibiting at SMX. Its booth touts the company’s latest product
innovation, MarketSnare, which was designed to help multi-location marketers
reach the widest possible audience online through local search refinements.
Mullett will be manning the booth occasionally as will Cirrus ABS CEO Matthew
S. Nickols, who’ll also be presenting a short bit of “theatre” revealing “Ten
Keys to Maximizing Organic Search Visibility for 10s, 100s, or Even 1,000s of
Locations.”
